“The so-called earth works have already been completed and we are still waiting to be issued with certain permits. This year, we finished the second production facility spanning 10,000 sqm, and when we complete all four phases of the projects, we are going to have one of the biggest factories in Serbia”, says the director of HealthCare Europe in Serbia, Aleksandar Podravac. He adds that as much as 98% of what’s produced here will be exported to the European and the US markets.

The investor was given the first 5.6 hectares of land without having to pay a fee, based on the feasibility study of the alienation of building land. They soon realized that they would need more land for their production facilities and subsequently purchased additional 3.2 hectares.

“This year, the value of our production has reached 25 million euro, and we expect the amount to be doubled as soon as next year. We have many reasons to be satisfied, but we are continuing with investments and the expansion of our capacities, because it is our goal to further increase out profit”, Podravac says and reminds that all four phases of the investment cycle will cost around 50 million euro to implement and that, as a result, as many as 1,200 people will have a job in the company.

The company also has a production facility in China which spans 400,000 sqm. In the past few years, they have improved their position in China through the launch of a new brand called Mlily. Podravac also says that that a part of the production for the EU market will be moved to Ruma.

HealthCare Europe was founded in 2012 in Novi Sad, as a result of a joint investment of Denmark’s EverRest and China’s HealthCare, a global leader in the production of memory foam.
