Chinese company to open four plastics factories in Cuprija

Local government in Cuprija and the Chinese company Blue Sky Europe International Industry and Trade Technology signed today a Memorandum of Understanding stipulating a construction of a Chinese industrial park that would house four plastics factory.

The plan is for the four factories to have a total of 500 workers. The estimated value of the investment, in its first stage, is 12 million EUR.

The Memorandum was signed by the President of the Cuprija municipality, Ninoslav Eric and the representatives of the Chinese company, Guangguo Zhou and Zaicheng Zhao.

“This is the first phase of the project that entails opening of four factories first, after which we are going to work on implementing the project relating to the industrial park”, said Eric.

A few days ago, Eric specified that the industrial zone would span 400 hectares of land and that the municipality has been preparing a detailed regulation plan of the area that will also include a commercial centre, a service centre, a golf course, an amusement park, and a small airport.

Eric underlined that the municipality of Cuprija enjoyed a full support from the Serbian government in regards to this project, and added that the municipal government has been negotiating with a Turkish company regarding leasing of the Dobricevo farm for the purpose of cattle breeding.
