Chinese company to open a 50-mln-euro factory in Niš – 1,000 new jobs

The Chinese company Xingyu will build its production plant in the southern Serbian town of Niš, in its Industrial Zone West.

The Local Economic Development and Project Office (KLERP) says that construction should begin in the first quarter of next year.

The Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese was signed in early May when it was announced that Xingyu Automotive Systems Co LTD would build a factory that would produce car lights.

The value of the investment is EUR 50 million and the Industrial Zone West was chosen as the final location, although it was previously assumed that the factory would be built in Medosevac.

“In a letter of intent, the investor stated that they needed 13.5 hectares of construction land in the industrial area west of Niš,” said KLERP.
