China’s Zijin becomes biggest exporter in Serbia

“Although the Strategic Partnership Agreement that Zijin Copper has concluded with the Serbian authorities states that the Chinese company will invest $1.26 billion in the next six years, the total investment in the planned period will exceed that amount and reach $1.9 billion,” said the CEO of Zijin Copper.

According to him, during the previous two and a half years, the company generated a turnover of 1.708 billion dollars, so that this year it ranks first in the list of exporters to Serbia, it was announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

In the first half of 2021, 30,100 tonnes of cathode copper were produced in Serbia by Zijin Copper, an 11.83% increase compared to the same period last year. “The amount of gold produced by the company stood at 691.17 kilogrammes.
