China’s Yanfeng to hire 800 workers at their Kragujevac plant

The Chinese company Yanfeng plans to employ 800 people at its Kragujevac plant by the end of 2023, it was said during a visit by the mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić, to this factory that produces parts for car interiors.

Yanfeng has been operating in Kragujevac for 11 months where it designs, develops and manufactures interior components for the renowned vehicle manufacturers. The company currently employs 370 workers there.

The Kragujevac plant spans 25,000 square metres on a land of approximately five hectares with the possibility of extension. It is located in the Šumadija free zone, at the entrance to the city from the direction of Batočina. Last year, Yanfeng invested around 40 million euro in the factory, of which 10 million euro was spent on equipment alone.

“I would like to mention that all of the company’s employees come from Kragujevac, which does not mean that people from other areas are not welcome, but this is an indicator of what advantages the city of Kragujevac has as a university and industrial centre,” said the director of the factory, Milan Radović.

Yanfeng Automotive Interiors is a world leader in the production of automotive interiors. Headquartered in Shanghai and with a European branch in Germany, the company has over 240 locations and 55,000 employees worldwide. Kragujevac is their newest factory in Europe, opened last year.
