China’s Xingyu buys land in Niš to build a production facility

The Chinese company Xingyu has bought 6.6 hectares of building land from a private owner in the Industrial Zone West as part of the preparations for the beginning of the construction of a car lighting factory in Niš, the city’s Local Economic Development Office (LEDO) has confirmed to the Tanjug news agency.

The investors from China plan to buy up to 13.5 hectares in total of undeveloped building land for an investment worth EUR 50 million in Niš.

As the construction is to be carried out in phases, the LEDO says that additional building land for the purposes of this investment will be provided as well.

Last year, a memorandum of understanding was signed stipulating this investment, which should create 1,000 new jobs. Xingyu plans to start building the factory in the first quarter of the current year.
