Chinese tire producer, Linglong, has paid 14 million dinars to purchase 2.8 hectares of building land at the entrance to Ečka where it will build five residential buildings consisting of about 300 apartments.
Representatives of the company signed an agreement with the mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapur, for the purchase of the land in question.
The Mayor of Zrenjanin, Sima Salapura, said „the investment leads to the construction of accompanying facilities, such as commercial facilities, business premises, children playgrounds, etc. It enables new employment and generally changes the economic picture of the area.“
The land where the residential buildings will be built borders the future Zrenjanin – Belgrade – Novi Sad motorway, close to Linglong’s factory.
