China’s Jiangsu Lianbo Precision to open factory in Serbia

Chinese car parts manufacturer Jiangsu Lianbo Precision Technology plans to open a factory in Novi Sad, which will employ 500 workers, local media reported on Monday.

“After many months of negotiations, we succeeded in attracting another big investment which will spread on 14,000 sq m in the industrial CT Park,” the Dnevnik news outlet quoted Novi Sad mayor, Milan Djuric, as saying.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.

Novi Sad’s economy expanded rapidly in the last ten years, with some of the biggest global names such as Continental, BMTS, Nidec, Barry Callebaut, Lear and Aptiv already operating in the city, Djuric noted, adding that these companies alone have already invested over 331 million euro combined in their plants and plan further investment in the total amount of 369 million euro.

Established in 2008, Jiangsu Lianbo Precision Technology specializes in manufacturing stators and rotors for electric motors for the automotive industry.
