If you want to start a business in Serbia in which you will invest little and have a great return on your investment, you should start an online sale of specialized food or a digital marketing agency for small businesses, or start producing and selling organic cosmetics.
These three investment ideas came from ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence programme that has been conquering and scaring the world at the same time.
It took only seconds for ChatGPT to provide a lengthy answer to the question “Propose three ideas for a business in Serbia with a small investment and a high return on investment”. In further “elaboration”, ChatGPT is somewhat less precise but still gives illustrative answers that can serve as a guiding idea for investors.
1. Online sale of specialized food
“Serbia has a rich cultural heritage and traditional cuisine, so you could consider starting an online store that sells specialized foodstuffs and products from Serbia. The investment could be small, because the products could be obtained directly from small producers, and the earnings could be high because there are a large number of people in the Serbian diaspora who would be interested in this type of food,” explains ChatGPT.
Asked what specific food to invest in, ChatGPT suggests rakija, for which, as the AI programme explains, there is great interest, followed by cured meat products such as kulen, sausages and bacon, but also honey and Futog cabbage, which “has a unique taste and quality, so it there could be interesting for selling both in the country and abroad”.
Also, ChatGPT suggests organic, local, vegetarian and vegan food (because, as it explains, a healthy diet without meat is becoming increasingly popular in Serbia and the world, while more and more people suffer from food allergies).
2. Digital marketing for small businesses
“More and more small businesses in Serbia are realizing the importance of digital marketing, but many of them do not have enough knowledge or time to dedicate themselves to this field. Starting a digital marketing agency that would focus on small businesses with a limited budget could be an excellent investment opportunity considering the high demand for such services,” ChatGPT advises.
3. Production and sale of organic cosmetics
“Organic cosmetics is becoming increasingly popular in Serbia, and it is mainly produced from plants that are easily available and can be grown in relatively small areas. Investments in this type of business could be small, and earnings could be high considering the growing demand for organic products in Serbia and abroad,” says ChatGPT.
Whoever likes this idea will have to invest in market research and the manufacturing of product samples, which can cost several thousand euros. Also, an organic cosmetics producer should obtain a certificate for organic cosmetics, which cost can range from several hundred to several thousand euros. You should also keep in mind that the competition in this industry is fierce, so it is important to have unique products – ChatGPT says, without mentioning which products specifically.
