Canada’s Magna Seating to open a factory in Aleksinac

The Canadian company Magna Seating will build a car seat component factory in Aleksinac.

The Aleksinac town assembly has adopted a decree approving the signing of the agreement on the allocation of publicly owned land to Magna Seating which doesn’t have to pay a fee for it.  This was posted on the municipality’s official website.

In early June, Magna launched production activities in a rented hall in Aleksinac, and it was announced, at the time, that the second phase of the investment entailed the construction of a new, larger hall, where the entire production would be moved and additional 1,000 people would be employed.

To remind, that the Canadian company Magna Seating produces car seat covers for well-known car brands and operates in 18 European countries. They have been operating in Serbia for six years now, and they also have a production facility in Odzaci, Vojvodina.
