Brnabic: “We can return to a normal life in June’

The Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić, said that it is very likely that life in Serbia would return to normal from June.

“It is very likely that we will be able to return to normal life soon. What worries me is the small vaccination rate among the younger population. On Friday, we launched a big campaign to vaccinate young people with the help of festivals in our country. We want to open Serbia completely on 21 June. However, last summer, when we were also optimistic, the number of infected people started to grow again,” Brnabić added.

The PM reminded once again how important the vaccine is: “I would like to appeal once again for people to be vaccinated. There are enough doses for everyone. Today, we will receive a shipment of 100,000 Pfizer vaccines. I would also like to remind you that anyone who is vaccinated until 31 May can apply for the state aid of 3,000 dinars”.

She added that Serbia’s economy is doing great and said: “Our economy is doing very well and we have very good results. The industry is growing, as is the construction industry.”
