Brnabic invited to attend meeting of Bilderberg Group

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has been invited to participate in a regular annual meeting of the world’s most influential politicians and economists assembled under the name Bilderberg Group – Brnabic’s cabinet has confirmed for the Tanjug news agency.

The call came after her presentation at the meeting of the group “New Leaders for Europe” at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The meeting of the Bilderberg Group is scheduled to take place from 7 to 10 June in Turin, Italy, and the the Serbian PM received an invitation by Henri de Castries, Chair of the Steering Committee of the Group and the former chairman of the Board of Directors of the multinational insurance company Aksa.

The Bilderberg Group, named after the Bilderberg Hotel in the Netherlands, where the first meeting of the Group took place in 1954, assembles 100 of the most influential people in the world of politics, business and media from Europe and North America who meet up annually to discuss burning issues in the world.

The Prime Minister of Serbia has been a member of the “New Leaders for Europe” group of the World Economic Forum since October 2016. The Group comprises young politicians and decision makers from several European countries.

As the only Prime Minister from the region, Brnabic also participated in the preparation of the World Economic Forum’s report called “Recovery Europe” for which she prepared a section on migration and border issues.
