The 55th Belgrade Music Festival – BEMUS – will this year host stars of classical and contemporary music, from the country and abroad.
The 55th BEMUS will be held from October 8 to 22, 2023.
The festival opens with a gala concert in honour of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous opera diva Maria Callas, in cooperation with the National Theatre in Belgrade.
The most beautiful opera arias and duets will be interpreted by the Greek coloratura soprano Vassiliki Karayanni and the Italian tenor Andrea Care, under the direction of the conductor Diana Čobanov.
Two concerts by the famous violinist Nigel Kennedy are also eagerly anticipated at this year’s BEMUS. This is Kennedy’s first concert in Belgrade in five years and he will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s pieces.
