The Belgrade Zoo might be relocated from Kalemegdan to Ada Safari in Ada Ciganlija.
The City Administration has announced that the Belgrade mayor, Aleksandar Sapic, and the main city urban planner, Marko Stojcic, will visit Ada Safari tomorrow and that Sapic will talk about the plan and the potential new location of the Zoo.
There is already a mini zoo on the Ada Safari Lake complex.
Belgrade Zoo, also known as the Garden of Good Hope, has been located for decades in the Mali Kalemegdan area within the Belgrade Fortress since it opened in 1936, but for years now there has been talk about relocating it from the city centre, with the Veliko Blato Lake in Borča and Surčin mentioned as potential new locations.
