The first International Wine Fair in Belgrade will be held from September 1 to 4 at the Belgrade Fair. The event organizers are the founders of the Open Balkans initiative.
This event will be an ideal opportunity to introduce wine producers and wineries from the entire region to the Serbian audience and thus ensure even greater visibility on the market, announced the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
“We want to present the wine vision of the Open Balkans through this unique gathering that has never been organized before. This is a real opportunity to unite, the best wine producers from Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania,” Stevan Rajta, director of the Association of Winemakers and Vinegrowers of Serbia, told Politika daily.
He added that, apart from wineries from the region, the Fair will also host wineries from the United States, Chile, Argentina, South Africa and other European countries.
According to him, there will be around 400 exhibitors at the fair (more than 200 local winemakers) as well as large distributors, traders, importers and representatives of the hospitality sector.
Mr Rajta also notes that a traditional tasting and evaluation of wines will also take place.
