Belgrade Philharmonic to celebrate its 100th anniversary with Zubin Mehta and Disney music

The Belgrade Philharmonic will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a new concert season which will last from June 2023 to June 2024.

On June 20, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will perform with the world-renowned conductor Zubin Mehta, in Kolarac, marking the opening of Mehta’s Open Balkans tour.

As announced, the jubilee celebrations will continue in July, when, on July 2nd, the orchestra will perform in a large open-air concert, in Ušće in Belgrade, with Disney’s Fantasia.

On September 15, the orchestra will perform Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in a concert, while on September 22, violinist Nemanja Radulović will perform with the Philharmonic.

Also, for the first time in its history, the Belgrade Philharmonic will perform the Mass in B Minor, a great piece by Johann Sebastian Bach, with a guest choir from Brno, the Czech Republic, on January 19th, 2024.
