Belgrade Philharmonic performs 18 concerts for pre-schoolers

The Belgrade Philharmonic is continuing its engagement with the youngest members of the audience, this time with pre-schoolers, for whom it is organising two concerts a day, on weekdays until 2 October (at the BGF Hall), according to a press release.

Under the baton of Vuk Wolkov Popović, alongside the Voodoo Piano Duo, the orchestra is performing Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals”, with narrators Tamara Marinković Tomić and Slavica Perić.

Alongside nurturing generations of new audiences, the Belgrade Philharmonic performs with younger-generation artists. The orchestra is led by young conductor Vuk Wolkov Popović, and the extremely successful and charming Voodoo Piano Duo—comprising Vuk Božilović and Dušan Grozdanović—is performing with the Philharmonic once again.

The entire concept of this Carnival of the Animals performance is fully dedicated to adapting classical music for children, a role in which Philharmonic members Tamara Marinković Tomić and Slavica Perić play a major part.
