Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra: Great demand for tickets for new season

In order to satisfy the growing interest in its concerts, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is going to start selling 100 additional tickets for the standing area for the Five Elements Season 2017/18 which is otherwise sold out.

The tickets will be available one hour before the actual concerts start (on Fridays), at the Kolarac Box Office, from 7pm onwards. The price of individual ticket is only 200 dinars.

The first concert in the Five Elements Season starts on Friday, 27th October at 20 pm. The orchestra will be conducted by Gabriel Feltz with young pianist Filip Kopacevski as a guest. The repertoire includes Strauss’ symphonic poem “Macbeth”, Scriabin’s “Prometheus”, and Konjovic’s ‘Kostana’, all fused into a symphonic triptych.

The new 2017/18 concert season, titled The Five Elements, includes 25 concerts grouped in five thematic series: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and The Fifth Element.

In addition to Feltz and Raiskin, the permanent guest conductor of the season 2017/18, conductors  Fabrice Bollon, Cristian Mandeal, Uroš Lajovic, Howard Griffiths, Michail Jurowski, Eiji Oue, Hans Graf and John Axelrod will also conduct the orchestra.

 Also, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra continues to present guest artists. Besides the renowned musicians like Sergei Babayan (piano), Radovan Vlatković (French horn) and Antje Weithaas (violin), we are also introducing artists from the younger generation, including Narek Hakhnazaryan (cello), Alexander Gavrylyuk (piano), David Guerrier (trumpet and French horn), as well as the laureates of prestigious competitions: Simone Rubino (percussions), Lukas Geniušas and Yeol Eum Son (piano).
