The railway line from Belgrade to Novi Sad will be open in March this year at the latest, when the commute between the two cities by fast train will last only 30 minutes.
According to the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, the ticket will cost no more than 1,000 dinars.
The Minister said that the two cities will be connected by the best railway in Eastern Europe, as well as that double-decker trains, produced by the Swiss train manufacturer, Stadler, will be used on this line. reports Tanjug news agency.
“We have already started with testing the railroad. The next test is due on January 17 and I believe everything will be ready by March,” the Minister announced.
