Belgrade government doesn’t have enough money to buy air purifies for schools and kindergartens

Due to a lack of money, the Belgrade government has suspended the procurement of air purifiers for kindergartens and schools in the city, for which a contract worth around 2 million euros was previously awarded.

In late August last year, the city’s Secretariat for Environmental Protection launched a public call for submission of bids for the procurement of 11,500 air purifiers for kindergartens and schools in Belgrade.

The tender documentation contained the list of facilities in which air purifiers will be installed, as well as the municipalities and addresses where they are located.

This public procurement was temporarily stopped on two occasions because interested companies submitted requests for the protection of rights.

After the continuation of the procedure and after setting new deadlines for submission of bids, the contract was finally awarded to Zepter International d.o.o. Company at the beginning of January. The contract value was 229.3 million dinars, excluding VAT.
