Belgrade Economic Forum to be held 4-5 October

The 21st Belgrade Economic Forum will be held on 4 and 5 October in Belgrade, the organisers have announced.

The forum is held in cooperation with the Visa Company and under the auspices of the Foreign Investors Council. Every year, the event attracts regional attention and deals with topical issues related to Serbia, with a focus on economic growth and EU membership.

Speakers at the conference include Minister of Mines and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, Ivica Dacic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selakovic, High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, Minister of State Administration and Local Government, Marija Obradovic, Minister without Portfolio, Nenad Popovic, European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia, Vladimir Bilcik, Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia in charge of European Integration, Nikola Dimitrov, Minister of Defence of North Macedonia, Radmila Sekerinska, and Maltese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Evarist Bartolo.

Speakers will also include the Director of the Atlantic Council Centre for Europe, Ben Hadad, and Visa’s Director-General for Southeast Europe, Vladimir Djordjevic.

Among the ambassadors who will speak at the Forum is the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret, the Swiss Ambassador to Serbia Urs Schmid, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia, Sian MacLeod, and the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Carlo Lo Cascio.

The President of the European Movement in Serbia, Jelica Minic, Sander van Rutsilar on behalf of TurkStream and Alessandro Bragonzi, Head of the Regional Office of the European Investment Bank for the Western Balkans, will also take part in the Forum.
