“The Belgrade Book Fair will be held as usual, in late October, if epidemiological conditions allow it,” said yesterday the Secretary of Culture of the City of Belgrade, Ivan Karl, after meeting with the members of the Book Fair board led by Dusko Kovacevic, the general director of the Belgrade Fair, Danko Selic, and representatives of publishing houses.
The Fair’s management presented the projection of the visits on a daily basis divided by times and places inside the building, which was then sent to the state Crisis Team for evaluation since the number of people indoors exceeds the quota of 500 envisaged by the anti-corona measures.

“The Fair has ensured that it is possible to monitor visits, i.e. to regulate the schedule of entrances and exits from the exhibition halls, as well as to take into account the areas, the physical distance and all other protective measures,” said Ivan Karl.
The Book Fair will be postponed to the end of the year, if it is considered risky for human health to hold it on the usual date.
