Belgrade bids to host EXPO 2027

A presentation of Serbia’s bid to host Expo 2027 in Belgrade was held in Paris on Monday at a session of the General Assembly of Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

The presentation included addresses by Serbian PM Ana Brnabic, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Cadez, Belgrade Chief Urbanist Marko Stojcic and Project Manager Dusan Borovcanin, the Belgrade Fair said in a statement.

The Expo Belgrade 2027 bid to host a specialised exhibition titled “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All” was entered on June 7, with the event slated to be held from May 15 through August 15, 2027.

Rival bids have been submitted by the cities of Malaga (Spain), Bloomington (Minnesota, US), Phuket (Thailand) and San Carlos de Bariloche (Argentina).
