The German company B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH invested a million euro in a new factory in Serbia’s northern town of Subotica which will employ 100 workers.
Following the opening, the CEO of B+B Sensor Solutions. Daniel Spehar said the company considered relocating its production facilities from China to Serbia, the Beta news agency reported on Thursday.
The company currently employs a hundred workers in Subotica who produce thermo-technical sensors.

B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH” was established in 1984 in Germany and has facilities in The Netherlands, China and Hong Kong.
At the opening ceremony, the head of Vojvodina’s provincial Government Igor Mirovic said that Germany had already invested 1.4 billion euro in Serbia’s northern province. He added that 50 German companies had been operating there, creating jobs for over 60,000 people, of which 22,000 are in Vojvodina.
Mayor of Subotica, Bogdan Laban, said thanked all investors who invested in Subotica, because 6,000 workers are working in the Industrial Zone today.
The opening of the factory was also attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia for the Economy, Jorg Heeskens, and First Secretary and Head of the Economic Cooperation Section of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Leoni Reimers.
