The 10th Rakija Fest will be held at Belgrade’s Mikser House on 3rd December, under the title, “Balkan Urban Experience.”
The Belgrade Tourist Board said that visitors would have an opportunity to “warm themselves up” with rakija (Serbian for fruit, most commonly plum, brandy) as well as to enjoy “many Serbian delicacies, and specialty sweets.”
A performance by the band ZaBeat – along with numerous rakija and the Balkan “slow food” producers – guarantee a great experience, Tanjug reports
The festival will be a combination of the traditional and modern with tasting and professional evaluations of rakija taking place. The new rakija label called Belgrade Rakija, which has also been declared the official souvenir of the City of Belgrade, will be displayed too.
The Rakija Bar and Mikser House are the official organizers of this event with the support provided by the Belgrade Tourist Board.
