The State Statistics Office (RZS) said on Wednesday that the average gross salary in Serbia in March stood at 102,781 Dinars, higher than a year earlier.
It said that the average net salary (not including taxes) stood at 74,664 Dinars. Salaries rose by 13.4 percent nominally and 4.3 percent in real terms in the January-March period of 2022 compared to the same period a year earlier.
Gross salaries were 14.3 percent higher nominally and 4.8 percent higher in real terms in March compared to the same month of 2021 while the average net salary was nominally higher by 14.4 percent and 4.9 percent in real terms.
The median net salary in March 2022 stood at 55,146 Dinars which means that 50 percent of the workforce had earnings up to that level.
