The average net salary in Serbia stood at 65,070 Dinars in June, the State Statistics Office (RZS) said on Wednesday.
It also said that the gross salary was 89,793 Dinars and the median net salary stood at 49,999 Dinars.
According to the RZS, gross salaries rose in the January-June 2021 period by 8.4 percent nominally and six percent in real terms compared to the same period a year earlier. Net salaries rose by 8.6 percent nominally and 6.2 percent in real terms.
It said that average gross salaries in June 2021 were 8.7 percent higher nominally and 5.2 percent in real terms compared to the same month a year earlier while the average net salary rose by 8.9 percent nominally and 5.4 percent in real terms.
Software developers had the highest average salaries, up to 175,817 dinars. The second-highest salaries in June were registered in the tobacco industry – 153,881 dinars. Compared to the previous month, tobacco producers earned up to 44.2% more and are the absolute record holders in Serbia in terms of growth.
