Authorities issued 16.6% fewer building permits in November

The number of building permits issued in Serbia in November 2022 went down almost 17% (16.6%, to be more precise) on an annual comparison basis, to 2,782, the country’s statistical office said on Monday.

The estimated value of the planned projects covered by the issued permits increased by 8.3% year-on-year in November, the statistical office said in a statement.

In October, a total of 2,989 building permits were issued, marking a 22% decrease on the year.

Details on the percentage changes in the value of construction projects and the number of issued permits follow:

Observed by regions, the greatest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade region, 34.8 percent of the predicted value of new construction, followed by the Južna Bačka (10.2 percent), Srem (6.8) and Rаška.
