The average net salary in August in Serbia was 64,639 dinars, an increase of 10.5% in nominal terms and 5.9% in real terms compared to the same month last year, the State Statistics Office has said.
However, a half of the employees in Serbia earned less than 49,933 dinars in August.
Gross wages in August (including taxes and contributions) amounted to 89,202 dinars, which is 10.3% higher in nominal terms and 5.8% higher in real terms compared to the same period last year.
The growth of gross wages in the January-August period, compared to the same period last year, was 8.5% in nominal terms, or 5.6% in real terms, while net wages increased by 8.7% in nominal terms and 5.8% in real terms.
The median net salary for August 2021 was 49,933 dinars, meaning that 50% of employees earned up to this amount.
