One minute of a call made abroad (in roaming regime) will be over 60 per cent cheaper as of July 1st, announced Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.
He said that it is certain that the regional agreement on roaming charges would come into force on July 1st this year and that during the initial stage, the price of one minute of an outgoing call in roaming regime would be reduced from around 28 to around 11 dinars.

“The most important thing during this initial stage is that the price of such phone calls, SMS and data transfer will be reduced for all users,” Ljajic underlined.
He adds that the price of an SMS will be reduced from 9 to 4 dinars, which is more than 50 per cent cheaper, and the price for the transmitted megabyte of data will be reduced from 30 to 4 dinars.
“It should be noted that this is the average price reduction and there will be some differences, but for now we are talking about the price that will be applicable to most users,” Ljajic said.
He reminded that the regional agreement, signed at the beginning of April in Belgrade, will take place in three phases – the first phase starts on July 1st this year, the second on January 1st, 2020, and the third on July 1st, 2020.
