Art Weekend Belgrade from October 10 in over 30 locations around the city

Art Weekend Belgrade, a four-day event organized by the Grad Cultural Centre, to promote and develop the contemporary art scene, will be held from 10th to 13th October in over 30 locations around Belgrade.

According to the organizers, the programme consists of special gallery exhibitions, conferences and programmes in various locations of the city, organized art tours, guided tours through exhibitions, as well as guest appearances by leading local and foreign contemporary art professionals.

The following are just some of the venues that will host Art Weekend Belgrade: Faculty of Philosophy, Gradska galerija, Akademija – Centar za grafiku i vizuelna istraživanja FLU, Galerija Rima, Galerija B2, Kulturni centar Beograda, Blatobran, TransformArt Galerija, Galerija Zvono, Remont, X Vitamin, Galerija Novembar, Ciglana, Polet, Minipogon, DIM, Galerija Menjačnica Gete Instituta, U10, Kvaka 22, Hestia, Institut Cervantes, Galerija Laufer, Magacin Macura, Ostavinska, Kulturni centar Magacin, Muzej savremene umetnosti, Galerija Singidunum, Salon Muzeja savremene umetnosti, Mala galerija ULUPUDS-a, Eugster || Belgrade…

Eminent European curators, researchers and lecturers, both national and international, from Hungary, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Israel, Sweden, Greece and Slovenia will also participate in the event.

The event will officially start with the opening of the exhibition “NEXT / Portraits of People from Belgrade” by Sven Marquardt, on Friday, October 11th, at 19:00 in front of the Faculty of Philosophy.

The exhibition will be opened by His Excellency Ambassador Sem Fabrizi, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Dorotea Gizelman, Deputy Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Serbia and Dejan Ubovic, Director of the Grad Cultural Centre.
