BELGRADE
Event: 14th Belgrade International Architecture Week – BINA 2019
Place: Several locations in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Pancevo
Time: May 9th to 30th
The theme of the 14th Belgrade International Architecture Week – BINA 2019, POSITIVE / ACTIVE, draws attention to current and timeless examples of city planning and architectural practice characterized by a positive and proactive approach to understanding and solving spatial problems. The 2019 BINA gives insight into the value, contemporary interpretations and indications of possible new purposes of architecture created in the period of modernism, seen through the eyes of the “Y” generation (the Millennials). Event: Premiere of the film „Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile”
Place: Tuckwood cinema
Time: May 11th, at 20:30 pm
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is a 2019 American biographical crime thriller filmed from the perspective of the serial killer Ted Bundy’s former girlfriend Liz. Directed by Joe Berlinger with a screenplay from Michael Werwie, the film is based on the memoir The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy by Elizabeth Kendall, Bundy’s former girlfriend. The film stars Zac Efron as Bundy, Lily Collins as Elizabeth Kendall, Kaya Scodelario as Bundy’s wife Carole Ann Boone, and John Malkovich as Edward Cowart, the presiding judge at Bundy’s trial. The title of the film is a reference to Cowart’s remarks on Bundy’s murders while sentencing him to death.
NOVI SAD
Event: Taste Festival – Festival of Chocolate, Books and Coffee
Place: the Dunavski Park
Time: May 10th to 12th
This unique festival in our region that gathers around 40 exhibitors, from large coffee and chocolate brands and publishing houses to small manufacturers, independent booksellers from Serbia and the region. During three festival days, the visitors can taste coffee, chocolates, buy products, take a look at books, attend interesting lectures about coffee and chocolate, and participate in workshops and panel discussions with guest from Serbia and the region. The international festival is represented through three streets where products and displayed: coffee street, chocolate street and book street.
