APR: 20,000 more companies registered in 2017

This year, the Serbian Business Register Agency (APR) has registered 20,000 more companies compared to 2017.

Since the beginning of the year, a total of 28 companies and 1,070 small businesses were registered via e-registration process.

At the end of November, the Agency had a total of 133,781 companies and 257,453 small businesses registered in its data base, compared to the same period last year, when there were a total of 129,431 companies and 242,125 small businesses registered.

“This year, we have registered 19,678 business entities more than in the same period last year,” the APR says.

In the last 11 months, a total of 8,152 companies and 35,309 small businesses were founded. When compared to last year, the number of newly registered companies is about the same, but the number of small businesses has grown by 9%.

Also this year, the APR deleted 41% more companies from its register, which is 3% more relative to last year.

From January to November this year, 3,625 companies and 20,040 small businesses were deleted from the Business Entity Register, while 2,569 companies and 19,409 small businesses were deleted in the same period in 2017.
