Serbian national flag carrier Air Serbia decided to re-launch direct flights between Belgrade and Istanbul, following a two-and-a-half-year break. The first flight to Istanbul is scheduled for 11th December 2019. Tickets are available for purchase now.
Air Serbia will operate three weekly flights with departures from Belgrade on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with additional services on Sundays, between 22nd December, 2019 and 5th January, 2020.
After the initial period, the Serbian airline will consider potentially increasing the frequency to 7 flights a week from 29th March, 2020. Air Serbia airplanes will land at the new Istanbul international airport opened in 2018, the company announced.

“We are very pleased to re-launch the route to Istanbul, a destination our company used to fly to for decades. We wanted to help passengers following the temporary suspension of operations by AtlasGlobal,” said Jiri Marek, Air Serbia’s Commercial and Strategy Director.
The decision to re-establish Belgrade-Istanbul flights comes as a consequence of temporary suspension of operations by Turkish company AtlasGlobal, a partner of Air Serbia.
