Air Serbia is considering launching regular flights to Toronto in Canada as of 2018, the Vecernje Novosti daily reports.
The company has already started preparing for this flight, with still a lot of work to do, a Serbian government official says. Serbian government also plans to sign an air transport agreement with Canada shortly, so that the flight could be launched next year.
Last month, Air Serbia’s Corporate Communications Director, Nikola Vukomanovic said that the company was seriously considering launching the transatlantic flight between Serbia and Canada, following the launch of another Belgrade-New York flight.
“We are analyzing all the data, and once the analysis is done, we are going to make the final decision as soon as possible”, Vukomanovic said.
In June 2016, Air Serbia launched a regular Belgrade-New York flight, which was the first direct flight between Serbia and the US in the last 24 years. The route is services five times a week by a 254-seat Airbus A330.
