The last days of spring and especially the first days of summer will bring the first tropical heat wave of this year to Serbia with temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius.
“Until Saturday, June 26, hot weather will prevail with high temperatures that could go up to 35 degrees in some places on Thursday and Friday. Unstable weather could occur overnight Wednesday and Thursday over much of Vojvodina, while thunderstorm showers will fall on Saturday, mainly in the East and Northeast of the country. After that, the weather will be a bit cooler,” says meteorologist Marko Čubrilo.
The days ahead will be hot, with a temperature of +30 degrees. The hottest weather will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with temperatures ranging from 34 to 37 degrees.
“We are expecting a tropically hot day on Monday, because the maximum temperature will reach and exceed 30 degrees. The nights will be hot too, with the temperatures not dropping below 20 degrees Celsius in Belgrade,” explains meteorologist Djordje Đurić.
Tuesday is expected to see a three- to five-degree drop in temperature and transient strong northwest winds blowing across most of Serbia; less frequent local showers with thunder are expected mainly in southern and western Serbia and mountainous areas.
Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny with tropical heat. Maximum temperatures on Wednesday will be between 30 to 34 degrees, and Thursday from 30 degrees in northern Serbia to 35-36 in the east and southeast of the country, with the temperature in Belgrade in the low 34s.
Cloudy weather with local showers and thunderstorms is expected on Thursday evening or night, along with a temperature drop.
