Repeated Elections in Niš: In the Medijana Municipality, 16 Seats to the Opposition, 11 to SNS

The Dr. Dragan Milić Citizens’ Group won 11,000 votes (27.77%) and 8 seats, while the list Biramo Niš – Biramo Medijanu (We Choose Niš – We Choose Medijana) garnered 8,317 votes (20.99%) and 6 seats.

After the repeated elections at two polling stations in the Medijana municipality in Niš, the Municipal Election Commission announced that three opposition lists now have one more seat compared to the results after June 2, and thus in the Municipal Assembly, the Dr. Dragan Milić Citizens’ Group will have 8 seats, the list “Biramo Niš – Biramo Medijanu” will have 6 seats, and the list “Ujedinjeni – Nada za Niš” will have 2 seats, while the ruling SNS won 11 seats, according to Južne vesti.

Following the processed data from polling stations number 14 at Ćele Kula Elementary School and number 16 at the Fire Station, where the elections for municipal councilors were repeated, the Municipal Election Commission announced that SNS and the coalition won 15,220 votes (38.42% of the voters who turned out), which is enough for 11 seats, reports Južne vesti.

The Dr. Dragan Milić Citizens’ Group won 11,000 votes (27.77%) and 8 seats, while the list Biramo Niš – Biramo Medijanu garnered 8,317 votes (20.99%) and 6 seats.

The list Ujedinjeni – Nada za Niš gained one more seat compared to the initial results and now has 2 councilors, having won 2,754 votes (6.95%).

The Niš, naš grad list won 747 votes (1.89%), the Russian Party received 687 votes (1.73%), and Bojan Avramović’s Ne damo Niš list got 333 votes (0.84%). These three lists did not win any seats.

According to the Municipal Election Commission, there were 52 polling stations in Medijana with 76,820 voters, and 39,628 voters turned out, which is 51.59%.

There were 557 invalid ballots.

The number of seats for all lists was previously announced by the Dr. Dragan Milić Citizens’ Group.

It is worth noting that, according to the Municipal Election Commission, the voter turnout in Medijana was about 40% by 19:55 during the repeated elections.

Due to irregularities, the elections were repeated at polling stations number 14 at Ćele Kula Elementary School and number 16 at the Fire Station.
