The biggest international competition in the sports dance – WDSF World Open Beo Dance – The Trophy of Belgrade 2018 – will be held on September 28th, 29th and 30th, 2018 at the Belexpo Centre.
For the 17th time, Belgrade is the host to the highest level dance competition and the representatives of the International Federation of Sports Dance (WDSF)
The dance club Beo Dance and Dance Association of Serbia are the organizers of the tournament, while the event is supported by the City Secretariat for Sports and Youth and Ministry of Youth and Sports.
More than 600 dance pairs from Serbia and abroad will participate in the competition, including the dancers from Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Mongolia, Macedonia, Norway, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Spain, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine and Montenegro.
The competition will be judged by 25 renowned judges, from 20 European countries, and the dancers will be accompanied by the Mambo Stars Orchestra.
The dancers will compete in 10 disciplines: five Latin American dances (cha-cha-cha, samba, rumba, pasodoble, jive) and five standard dances (English waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow foxtrot, quickstep). There are five age groups competing – juvenile (ages 7-11), junior I (12-13), junior II (14-15), junior III (16-18), and adult (19-35).
