47th FEST in Novi Sad too

The 47th international film festival FEST will be held this year at the Arena Cineplex and Cineplexx Promenade cinemas in Novi Sad too, until March 4th. The Festival in the Arena begins this Saturday, on February 23rd, and in Promenade Shopping Mall one day later.

The Festival will be officially opened by the screening of the film “The Favourite”, directed by George Lanthimos, which premiered in Venice and has been nominated for 10 Oscars, on Saturday, February 23rd, at the Arena Cineplex cinema. The 47th FEST will satisfy the most varied film tastes – from the sentimental and cruel film “Cold War”, directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, through the latest performance of Luca Guadagnino, who was one of the favourites to win a 2018 Oscar for the film “Call Me By Your Name.”

The tickets are sold at 400 dinars apiece at the Arena Cineplex and Cineplexx Promenade cinemas, while the 47th FEST repertoire can be seen at www.arenacineplex.com and www.cineplexx.rs

47th FEST in Belgrade will be held from February 22nd to March 3rd.

Organizers of the 47th FEST have also revealed two other films that will be screened at the festival –  an Argentine-Spanish film directed by Louis Ortega called “Black Angel”, produced by Pedro Almodovar, and “Hotel Mumbai” directed by Anthony Maras. Also, as previously announced, the audiences will be able to see Emir Kusturica’s documentary about Jose Mujica, the former president of Uruguay, called “Pepe, a Sublime Life”, as well as a feature film about Silvio Berlusconi called “Loro” (“Them”). Plus, there will be a screening of the film called “The House that Jack Built”, directed by the controversial Lars Von Trier.

Additionally, the winners of the 2019 Golden Globe awards – films “Green Book”, “Vice”, “The Wife” and “If Beale Street Could Talk” – will be showcased at FEST.
