In October this year, 3,843 building permits were issued, an increase of 30.5% compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Office (RZS) says.
Of the total permits issued in October, 87.3% were issued for the construction of buildings and 12.7% for other types of objects.
As for residential buildings, 86.7% of the permits were issued for residential buildings and 13.3% for non-residential buildings. As for permits issued for other types of objects, most were issue for the construction of pipelines and communications and power lines.
In Serbia, in October, the construction of 2,950 flats, spanning an average of 74.8 square metres, was recorded. In the new residential buildings, 13.9% of the flats will be built in blocks of one flat, with an average surface area of 144.2 square metres, while 85.1% of the flats will be built in blocks of three or more flats, and their average surface area will be 62.2 square metres.
