30% decline in real estate sales in March

According to the data collated by the State Geodetic Authority (RGZ), real estate sales dropped by 1/3 in March compared to the same month last year.

Last Friday (April 3), there were 70% fewer real estate transactions relative to the pre-state-of-emergency period.

Last month, 65% of real estate purchases were made in cash and 35% through loans. In March last year, this ratio was 70% of purchases in cash and 30% in loans.

The data also shows that there were no significant changes in real estate prices last month.

On 24 March, the Serbian government adopted a decree on the application of deadlines in administrative procedures during a state of emergency, under which the RGZ adjusted its operations.

This regulation states that the parties, in proceedings before state bodies during a state of emergency, have no responsibility for the consequences of failure to comply with time limits prescribed or determined in accordance with the laws governing the general administrative procedure or special administrative procedures.

The Geodetic Authority receives administrative cases are received through notaries, courts, surveyors, lawyers and authorized banks.

All communications is carried out digitally through state agencies and electronic counters, while the Authority posts its decisions on its online notice board.
